Debono is
a wonderful and creative thinker. He offers some
stunningly brilliant insights into the rules of
competition and how they have changed in today's market.
We particularly like his concept of sur-petition, which
says that is often much smarter to avoid competition by
instead creating something that nobody else is doing. In
essence, he urges more companies to innovate and create
a game that only they can play as a means to win and
dominate in a marketplace.

If you run
a business - any kind of business - you need to spend
some time with Ted Levitt and listen to what he has to
say. This was clearly a landmark book in the marketing
area. Levitt was one of the original marketing gurus. He
has some great concepts and ideas about both marketing
and differentiation. You'll find it both fun and
enlightening.
